Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between prefabricated cabinets, semi-custom cabinets and custom cabinets?

Prefabricated cabinets are built, placed on palettes or in boxes and then stored. The cabinets themselves are modular units built according to industry size standards. They also abide by certain height standards for base cabinets, wall cabinets, vanities and top cabinets. Often, the buyer must personally install the cabinets or the installation must be the subject of a contract with the installer of the manufacturer.

Prefabricated cabinets are available in shorter time frames but offer a limited selection in exchange for the lower costs. Certain types of finishing panels as well as lounging furniture are not prefabricated. The installer will have to create from raw materials to complete the installation of the furniture in this case.

Semi-custom cabinets offer a better selection of options than prefabricated units. Each cabinet can be modified as required by the customer, though separate production and then manufacturing schedules will cause semi-custom orders to take a bit longer than prefabricated cabinets.

Custom cabinets are mostly built and manufactured in-house by local cabinetry shops. The experts at these shops are capable of manufacturing the boxes, panels, drawers, doors and all other accessories for your cabinets. This type of cabinet gives a far superior range of design, as there is no standard model to discourage full customization.

In general, customized cabinets offer more flexibility and customization in exchange for a higher price tag. The added value is second-to-none, though!

Why are drawer slides important?

Some retailers do not offer information relating to their components, and lower-quality drawer slides may negatively affect the functionality of your finished product. We offer full extension drawer slides with a capacity of 45 kg (100 lbs). This involves extending the entire depth of the drawer to facilitate access to items stored within it. Each drawer can hold up to 45 kg of your essential items without deforming, breaking or disassembling the product.

What are the manufacturing materials available for the cabinets?

We can match our materials to fit all styles. Usually, people prefer melamine boxes, veneered finish, solid wood cabinet doors, lacquered finish doors, aluminum cabinet doors and polyester. In addition to the wide variety of cabinets, we also offer a large selection of counters that will satisfy all tastes. As an example, we provide cabinets of the following materials: stainless steel, quartz, granite, marble, laminate and solid wood.
